About the position

The Manager Accountant will play a key role in the Tax Service Line at The Bonadio Group in Dallas, Texas. This position involves working closely with the Tax team to ensure timely and accurate completion of client engagements, while also focusing on work/life balance for employees. The role requires strong tax knowledge and the ability to develop effective client relationships, as well as mentoring staff and interns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review complex business and individual tax returns
• Develop effective working relationships with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
• Identify and research tax issues, develop resolutions, and prepare written conclusions
• Assist with the developing, training, and mentoring of staff and interns
• Recognize opportunities to provide new and innovative services
• Learn new tax skills related to diverse client needs, including public company tax services, banking and financial industry tax services, international compliance services, and transaction advisory services.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting
• An active CPA certification
• A minimum of five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to learn firm technology.
