About the position

Baker Tilly is seeking a Manager to join its Transaction and Financial Advisory practice, specifically within the CFO Advisory team. This role focuses on enhancing financial reporting processes for CFOs, Controllers, and Finance Directors, enabling them to add value to business operations. The Manager will work with a diverse range of clients, from emerging growth companies to publicly traded firms across various industries, providing technical analysis and process improvement services.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in projects focused on GAAP Advisory, Business Analytics and Decision Support, Financial Accounting Advisory Services, Transaction Support, and Program/Project Management.
• Supervise, develop, and train staff on engagements.
• Engage directly in team projects, contributing hands-on support.
• Interact with senior managers and partners regarding client and engagement management.
• Strengthen existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities through exceptional client service.
• Communicate with business owners, executive management, investors, and lenders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Invest in professional development through training sessions and networking events.
• Assist with recruiting activities, including campus recruiting and referring experienced individuals to the firm.

Requirements

• 6+ years' experience in a large accounting firm in audit or financial advisory service line.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
• Knowledge of GAAP advisory and its application.
• Experience with financial suite applications like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or IntAcct.
• Advanced modeling and Excel skills, with experience in complex financial analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Skills with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Current knowledge of Middle Market financial applications and their functionalities.
• Ability to generate data-driven insights.
