About the position
Kipsu is seeking a Manager of Accounting and Systems to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll play a unique and interesting role in a high growth, leading edge Minneapolis based software company. Here, you complete a variety of finance-related projects and learn what finance support looks like in a small, growing company.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accounting system has proper controls and appropriate system access
- Responsible for setting up integrations with other systems including Salesforce
- Assist with month end close including review and preparing of journal entries, complex account reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheet, income statements, cash flow and departmental reporting
- Assist in annual audit including preparing workpapers and support as requested
- Prepare tax information for outside tax partners
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as well as monthly financial analysis of actual vs budgeted results.
- Support for team members to foster growth in their career
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Administrative experience with NetSuite - required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
- 2+ years in public accounting or 3+ years experience at a company that is subject to audit reviews is a plus
- CPA preferred, not required
