About the position

As a Manager in Accounting/Reporting at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial reports that support both internal and external reporting. This position involves managing the company's financial reporting governance strategy, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights that help business leaders make informed decisions. Your work will directly impact the accuracy of financial data and the overall growth strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain various financial reports used internally and for external reporting.
• Manage the company's financial reporting governance strategy.
• Support the preparation and review of monthly report packages and supporting materials.
• Complete timely functional workloads including report preparations and maintenance of the financial reporting hierarchy.
• Communicate with personnel on accounting-related issues and ensure alignment on governance issues.
• Evaluate data for consistency between various sources and work on resolutions for any inconsistencies.
• Work with financial systems (SAP, Essbase, BI) to ensure accuracy of information and propose resolutions for inconsistencies.
• Complete special projects and collaborate with team members as needed.
• Complete all SOX work timely with necessary signoffs and documentation, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Accounting theory and procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Ability to supervise and motivate others
• Demonstrated computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of SAP general ledger software
• Knowledge of Essbase
