About the position

As a Manager in Accounting/Finance at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial reports that support both internal and external reporting. This position involves managing the company's financial reporting governance strategy, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights that help business leaders make informed decisions. You will work closely with various teams to enhance financial data accuracy and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly report packages and supporting materials.
• Complete timely functional workloads including report preparations and maintenance of financial reporting hierarchy.
• Communicate with personnel on accounting-related issues and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with other organizations on governance issues to ensure alignment and understanding of changes.
• Evaluate data for consistency across various sources and resolve discrepancies.
• Work with financial systems (SAP, Essbase, BI) to ensure data accuracy and propose resolutions for inconsistencies.
• Complete special projects and collaborate with team members as needed.
• Ensure timely completion of SOX work with necessary documentation and signoffs.
• Monitor compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and relevant laws.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Accounting theory and procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Effective prioritization and organizational skills
• Ability to supervise and motivate others
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of SAP general ledger software
• Experience with Essbase
