About the position

Providence Health Plan is seeking a Manager of Accounting, Statutory Reporting who will play a crucial role in overseeing all statutory financial reporting for the organization and its related entities. This position is designed for a professional who is not only skilled in accounting but also possesses strong leadership capabilities. The Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining policies and procedures that ensure effective, accurate, and timely reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards, including GAAP and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role emphasizes the importance of maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting. In this position, the Manager will work closely with both internal and external business partners, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve financial reporting objectives. The Manager will also be expected to contribute to process improvements within the accounting function, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in reporting practices. This role is fully remote, allowing the Manager to work from anywhere in the United States, with the exception of certain states. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all statutory financial reporting for Providence Health Plan and related entities.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures for effective, accurate, and timely reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP, Regulatory).
  • Maintain strong internal controls for financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners.
  • Manage and develop accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Lead or supervisory/management experience.
