About the position

Providence Health Plan is seeking a Manager of Accounting, Statutory Reporting who will play a crucial role in overseeing all statutory financial reporting for the organization and its related entities. This position is integral to ensuring that financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards, including GAAP and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust policies and procedures that facilitate effective reporting and strong internal controls. In this role, the Manager will collaborate closely with both internal and external business partners to ensure that all financial reporting aligns with the organization's goals and regulatory obligations. Additionally, the Manager will be tasked with managing and developing the accounting staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability within the team. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work from anywhere in the United States, with certain state restrictions. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and have a minimum of five years of accounting experience, including lead or supervisory roles. Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare insurance, CPA certification, statutory reporting experience, and a background in process improvement. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Lead or supervisory/management experience.
