About the position
The Manager, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable will lead a team responsible for managing corporate accounting activities in the United States. This role focuses on driving efficiencies and process improvements following a recent SAP implementation, while also developing a team of three, including remote staff. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with experience in policy development and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of AP/AR Administrators, both on-site and remote.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures designed to create efficiencies.
- Review coding, expenses, and other team deliverables.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain proper flow of transactions.
- Review escalated items and work to create positive resolutions.
- Create and communicate weekly cash forecasting.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Develop, create, and maintain advanced reports for ad-hoc and recurring analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Finance & Corporate Administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- 5+ years' Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience.
- 2+ years' experience in a Manager role with multiple direct reports.
- Intermediate experience in MS Office (Excel), including pivot tables and working with advanced reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of multi-currency transactions and accrual accounting concepts.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SAP (S4HANA) would be considered an asset.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently while providing support & analysis to the Corporate Accounting Team.
