Cineverse is a global streaming technology and entertainment company with one of the world's largest portfolios of owned and operated streaming channels, all powered by its advanced, proprietary technology platform. The Manager, Acquisitions is responsible for sourcing, reviewing, and negotiating content acquisitions for all of Cineverse's distribution channels, including theatrical, physical media, digital, TV, and Cineverse's streaming channels. This role involves deal negotiation with content providers, term sheet creation, and cross-department collaboration for title launches on Cineverse platforms. The position is currently remote, reflecting Cineverse's commitment to a flexible work environment, although there may be a future requirement to work from an office on a part or full-time basis. The Manager will source content from producers, labels, production companies, and sales representatives, screening and providing coverage for content from both a creative and business perspective. The role also includes maintaining documentation and data management, supporting the Acquisitions team's internal deal-tracking, department budgets, and generating status and management reports such as deal updates and quarterly counts of titles on channels. Based on performance analysis, the Manager will make recommendations to senior management regarding content suitable for acquisition and will review and run P&L's to support acquisitions and the operating green light process. In addition, the Manager will draft proposals and negotiate material business terms with producers, labels, production companies, and sales reps, summarizing completed deals and communicating business terms to all relevant department heads. The role requires tracking and requesting scheduled payments to Licensors and researching major film festivals and markets, including Toronto, Sundance, Tribeca, MIPCOM, and SXSW, to create screening schedules for senior management. The Manager will also provide deal support to acquisition colleagues and complete support for senior management, including presentations and special projects as needed.
