About the position

The Manager of Actuarial Services is responsible for developing strategies to mitigate financial risks, leading actuarial documentation efforts, and designing evaluations for product lines. This role involves analyzing financial risks and opportunities, presenting findings to stakeholders, and fostering professional growth within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide recommendations on avoiding financial risk to the organization.
  • Lead the completion of actuarial documentation and ensure compliance with insurance regulations.
  • Manage designated work unit by translating business plans into tactical action items and overseeing work assignments.
  • Complete actuarial documentation by reviewing financial reports and tax returns.
  • Develop and design product line evaluations by analyzing financials, pricing, and reserves.
  • Design and develop actuarial research to advance standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Assess and interpret financial risks and opportunities using actuarial judgment.
  • Collaborate with business partners to translate actuarial constructs into actionable recommendations.
  • Create frameworks and assumptions for actuarial models to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of actuarial experience.
  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society Certificate or Associate of the Society of Actuaries Certificate.
