The Manager, Adult Tournaments will oversee all aspects of Adult Tournaments and Senior International Competition within the United States Tennis Association (USTA). This role is pivotal in contributing to the implementation of the Community Tennis strategic plan, ensuring that Adult Tournament and Senior International Competition strategies and programs are executed effectively. The Manager will serve as the Staff Liaison to both the Adult Competition Committee and the Senior International Selection Committee, working closely with these groups to meet the goals and objectives outlined in the Community Tennis strategic plan. In addition to strategic execution, the Manager will support USTA Sectional Associations in their Adult Competition strategies and growth initiatives. This position requires active engagement with various internal USTA departments, including Digital, Marketing, Communications, and Collegiate, to foster collaboration and ensure alignment across initiatives. The Manager will also be responsible for managing and tracking reports related to Adult Tournament and Senior International Team programs and initiatives, attending and participating in internal department and USTA meetings. A key responsibility will be managing the Sanctioning and Scheduling process for all adult national tournaments, which includes acquiring all necessary national tournament agreements and approvals in conjunction with the Legal Department. The Manager will oversee the NTRP National Championships, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing site and player selection processes. Collaboration with the World Tennis Number (WTN) team to promote Adult WTN Tournaments is also essential. The role requires a solid understanding of tournament requirements in Serve Tennis to effectively support National Tournament Directors and ensure quality control of National Tournaments through regular communication. Additionally, the Manager will assist in monitoring the budget for Adult Tournaments on a monthly basis and will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with various related organizations, including ITF, USPTA, PTR, NWTO, and NSMTA. This position is designated as "hybrid/flex," allowing for both remote and on-site work, with adherence to current USTA hybrid/flex requirements being essential.
