About the position

The Manager of Advisor Relations and Client Service at Equity Advisor Solutions LLC is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Relationship Managers who work closely with Registered Investment Advisors, Broker Dealers, and Investment Representatives. This role is pivotal in providing leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that performance metrics are met and that the team operates efficiently within the established budget and staffing commitments. The Manager will work collaboratively across various business lines to foster strong partnerships that align with the company's broader goals and initiatives. In this position, the Manager will set and enforce performance goals for direct reports, driving organizational capability by building a committed and capable team. This includes coaching and mentoring existing team members while attracting new talent as necessary. The Manager will conduct continuous internal examinations of the firm's policies, operational procedures, and compliance requirements to ensure optimal service delivery. Additionally, the role involves managing core business functions essential to service delivery and maintaining a positive team environment that encourages innovative thinking and aligns with the company's culture and values. The Manager will also assist with escalated issues during high-volume periods, collaborate with the management team to identify and analyze systems for improvement, and ensure that trade corrections are processed accurately and timely. Effective communication with affiliate partners is crucial to exceed service level agreements and achieve the company's financial goals. The Manager will support sales efforts to drive new business through creative servicing and operational strategies, while also working with Human Resources to ensure fair and consistent management of associates, providing training and career opportunities. Other duties and project tasks may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Relationship Managers working with Registered Investment Advisors, Broker Dealers, and Investment Representatives.
  • Set and enforce performance goals for direct reports.
  • Drive organizational capability by building and developing a highly committed and capable team, coaching, and mentoring incumbents.
  • Conduct continuous internal examinations of firm's policies, operational and service procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage and/or coordinate core business functions essential to service delivery.
  • Build and maintain a positive team environment encouraging innovative thinking and modeling behavior to foster company culture and values.
  • Assist with escalated issues and other operating activities during high volume periods.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify and analyze systems and processes for improvement to streamline the advisor experience.
  • Manage a metric-driven environment.
  • Assist in hiring, coaching, and managing the Relationship Management Team and other employees.
  • Oversee that trade corrections are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with affiliate partners to exceed service level agreements and achieve financial goals.
  • Communicate effectively and handle multiple priorities while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
  • Support sales efforts to drive new business through creative servicing and operational strategies.
  • Assist in defining project priorities and reviewing and providing feedback on requirements, documents, and client acceptance testing.
  • Work effectively with Human Resources to ensure associates are managed fairly and consistently, and that training and career opportunities are available for all.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of IRA and Custodial Account rules and regulations.
  • Experience working with Registered Investment Advisors and/or Broker Dealers preferred.
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports preferred.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Portfolio Management Systems.
  • Ability to use multiple systems for tracking transactions, client account information, communication, and daily business activities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certifications related to finance or management are a plus.
