About the position

The Manager of AI and Data Engineering at Blend360 is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of AI data engineers and data scientists. This role focuses on developing and deploying real-time data pipelines, leveraging cutting-edge technologies in data warehousing and engineering to enhance AI research and development efforts. The manager will also serve as a thought leader in AI and data science, advising senior leadership on data strategies and innovations while ensuring alignment across various products and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a team of AI data engineers and data scientists.
• Develop, operate, and deploy real-time data pipelines at scale using AI methods.
• Apply advanced data warehousing, data science, and data engineering technologies to accelerate AI R&D efforts.
• Automate low-value tasks to improve time to market and reusability of AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with AI R&D teams and the Data Platform Team to maintain high-quality AI datasets.
• Ensure integration of data architecture and models across products and platforms.
• Serve as a thought leader in AI and data science, advising senior leadership on data strategies.
• Engage in data engineering and data science tasks to support the team.
• Lead external data collection efforts using prompt engineering techniques for AI model construction.
• Drive data innovation through research and development to extract insights from data resources.
• Foster excellent communication within the organization and ensure clarity of the company's vision.

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, data analytics, or a closely related field.
• 3 years of professional experience in data engineering and data science, including managerial or technical leadership roles.
• 2 years of experience in a managerial role with responsibility for large cross-functional projects.
• 2 years of experience with Python, Spark, SQL, and Airflow for data processing solutions.
• 1 year of experience with Generative AI.
• 1 year of experience with AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• 1 year of experience with AI libraries including Hugging Face and Scikit-Learn.
• 6 months of experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM APIs.
