About the position

The Manager Ancillary Products & Strategy at JetBlue Airways will lead a team focused on optimizing revenue streams from ancillary products such as baggage, seating options, and upgrades. This role involves driving pricing strategies, monitoring performance indicators, and collaborating with various departments to enhance product effectiveness. The manager will also serve as a liaison with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Set specific and impactful pricing strategies for ancillaries to drive revenue production.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and trends to adjust pricing for revenue optimization.
  • Steer the overall ancillary strategy by garnering support from the wider organization.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Customer Experience, and IT leaders to ensure product effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Data Science team to develop advanced pricing tools for optimizing ancillary revenue.
  • Compile and create analyses for executive-level dashboards.
  • Act as a representative for the Director when needed, communicating with senior leadership.
  • Proactively improve processes, pricing mechanisms, and revenue-generating programs.
  • Support the team in performing ad hoc analysis and model creation for revenue initiatives.
  • Develop crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant field; or a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four years of related work experience.
  • Five years of analytical or quantitative experience.
  • Two years of Revenue Management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with analyzing large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Highly proficient in various analysis tools.
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Seven years of analytical or quantitative experience.
  • Four years of Revenue Management experience.
  • Experience within the airline industry.
  • Strong track record of communicating insights to leadership.
  • Experience using programming languages to extract large datasets.
