Southwire's applications engineering, under the senior leadership of Product Management, plays a critical role in servicing the high volume of retail, residential, and commercial customers as well as the rapid growth of industrial, OEM, and utility end users in North America and internationally. The CableTechSupportTM Services was established with the mission statement of Re3TM, to Respond, Rectify, and Restore the electrical systems using Reinforced, Resilient, Reliable Solutions. This large engineering team provides the best-in-class consultation and technical support in the industry. We are looking for subject matter experts with hands-on experience in emerging vertical markets to drive the spec and deliver value-add field solutions, and initiate service innovations of wire & cable with connectorized accessories. The responsibilities include aligning engineering activities with company objectives, driving the spec in the data center, renewable energy (wind, solar, BESS), electric vehicle charging & infrastructure, telecommunication/5G, petrochemical & mining, mass transit, and ports & terminal applications. This experienced technical leader will interface directly with customers, host in-depth product training, and lead troubleshooting efforts, while partnering with agents, distributors, inside & outside sales, operation, and product management to deliver technical support to electricians, general & electrical contractors, engineers, renewable project owners, and EPCs. The individual must have commercial experience and be proficient in ideating, designing, and implementing processes, and implementing commercial-scale service solutions.
