Emerson is currently seeking an Applications Engineering Manager in McKinney, TX. In this critical role, you will promote the sales of Pressure Management products and serve as a liaison between the sales channel and the company. Additionally, you will advise the technical support function provided for the Pressure Management product lines. This position is essential for ensuring that the sales team is equipped with the necessary technical knowledge and support to effectively sell our products. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to field sales personnel regarding product applicability and installation practices, coordinating and participating in customer sales presentations, and defining and coordinating special customer product modifications. Furthermore, you will take an active role in evaluating special project proposals, including quotation submittal and pricing, while developing and conducting product training for both internal and external customers. In addition to supporting the sales channel, you will also focus on developing the Applications Engineering team. This includes continually reviewing and improving internal processes and communications that affect the speed and quality of application support. You will train and develop application engineering personnel, build and supervise performance metrics, and delegate workload accordingly. Your role will also involve promoting the corporate image by participating in trade shows and exhibits, developing good customer and factory relationships, and acting as an intermediary between sales and other internal departments. You will assist in new product development and promote customer awareness among all employees by analyzing common product problems and coordinating solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of progressive engineering or technical sales experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office and Access. You should be able to handle critical customer relationships tactfully and be willing to travel within North America approximately 25% of the year. Preferred qualifications include marketing and/or sales experience, thorough product and application knowledge, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
