About the position

The Artist Brand Marketing Manager at Universal Music Latin America (UMLA) is responsible for creating and implementing brand strategies that enhance artist narratives and foster super fandoms. This role involves direct consumer engagement tactics, producing compelling content across various advertising channels, and ensuring a consistent fan-facing strategy. The position requires a strong understanding of music culture and digital platforms, as well as proficiency in creative tools for effective brand communication.

Responsibilities

  • Create artist brand strategies focused on building narrative and super fandoms.
  • Plan Direct to consumer tactics focused on developing artists.
  • Ensure an always-on fan facing strategy with the artist.
  • Produce engaging, clear text for different advertising channels such as websites, social media, and print ads.
  • Maintain awareness of music culture and how the artist can fit in and drive the narrative to reflect culture.
  • Create and implement artist brand and narrative guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in brand strategy, copywriting, and creative design.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, ideally for an ad agency.
  • Bilingual in English and another language (both written and spoken) required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Exceptional creative and design skills with a portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present ideas effectively.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful brand strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to think strategically while also paying attention to detail.
