This position of Manager, Asset Protection is crucial in protecting the company assets, associates, and customers in the stores within the Chicago regional market. The successful individual will administer the established Asset Protection programs at the stores of our three brands: Coach, Kate Spade, and Stuart Weitzman. This role will be based in Chicago, but other locations will be considered based on driving distance to the major markets for the three brands. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Asset Protection, the individual will leverage their proficiency in Asset Protection to conduct investigations related to theft, fraud, and policy violations in partnership with Senior Leaders, including the Senior Director of Asset Protection. The responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing incident reports generated from the stores, monitoring inventory results for unusual trends, and maintaining low shrink rates. The Manager will develop strong partnerships with multi-managers and store teams to address theft issues, policy violations, and inventory discrepancies, which will involve presenting topics at District meetings. Additionally, the role requires ensuring that store management teams understand the use of CCTV equipment to review activity and copy events, assisting with the onboarding of new field managers, General Managers, and Store Managers regarding Asset Protection best practices, and conducting unannounced store audits to communicate non-compliance trends to the Region and Districts. The accomplished individual will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in Loss Prevention/Asset Protection with multi-unit experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with WZ Interviewing/Interrogation certification. The role requires flexibility to travel within the assigned region up to 75% of the time, including some overnight travel, and the ability to work effectively remotely. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong decision-making abilities, and effective time management and organization skills are also critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations related to theft, fraud, and policy violations in partnership with Senior Leaders.
  • Review and analyze incident reports generated from the stores.
  • Monitor inventory results for unusual trends and maintain low shrink rates.
  • Develop partnerships with multi-managers and store teams regarding theft issues, policy violations, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Present topics at District meetings to address theft and policy violations.
  • Ensure store management teams understand the use of CCTV equipment for reviewing activity.
  • Assist with onboarding new field managers, General Managers, and Store Managers on Asset Protection practices.
  • Conduct unannounced store audits and communicate non-compliance trends to the Region and Districts.
  • Investigate missing freight and perform site visits of carriers used in the markets.
  • Ensure contract guards understand the post orders and maintain high quality.
  • Build networks with law enforcement agencies and other retailers to discuss unusual activity.
  • Review and analyze exception reports and query systems for investigations.
  • Support awareness of security and safety incident response protocols with store teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of prior relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in Loss Prevention/Asset Protection with multi-units/multi-store experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • WZ Interviewing/Interrogation certification.
