About the position

The Manager Assistant (Chief-of-Staff) for the Finance & Global Supply Management Technology Organization at American Express plays a crucial role in organizing key business processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and enhancing colleague engagement. This position reports directly to the Unit CIO and is integral to the Leadership Team, focusing on budget management, talent management, communications, and process improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Influence and observe how strategic decisions are made within the organization.
  • Prepare presentations to communicate strategy and vision, providing recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Implement a communications strategy for the organization.
  • Develop information structures and processes for visibility and timely updates on initiatives and deliverables.
  • Organize and facilitate leadership meetings, calls, and forums, managing content and agendas.
  • Run major annual talent management processes such as talent assessment and performance management.
  • Coordinate and contribute to impactful presentations and activities like town halls and strategic projects.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and open lines of communication with team members.
  • Own an effective communication strategy to maximize employee engagement and drive a sense of belonging.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and performance across the organization.
  • Support colleague processes, including recruitment and training oversight.
  • Oversee communication and engagement strategy for FGT.
