About the position

The Manager, B2B Web Designer at Dow Jones is responsible for designing and maintaining the visual system of the enterprise web experience. This role involves collaborating with the B2B Enterprise Marketing team to create a user-friendly, responsive website that aligns with business goals. The position requires a strong focus on innovative design, data-driven decision-making, and a deep understanding of brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the visual system of the enterprise web experience.
• Explore the latest web design trends and evaluate Dow Jones' competitive landscape.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize designs based on user engagement.
• Collaborate with the B2B Enterprise Marketing team to develop a user-friendly design system.
• Work with social media and paid media teams to create a cohesive design experience.
• Design graphics, digital proofs, UI/UX layouts, and visual concepts.
• Develop style guides and assist in producing visual assets like landing pages and UI elements.
• Create responsive templates optimized for various devices.
• Research and develop user journeys for seamless site navigation.
• Provide development-ready designs for ongoing site enhancements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a junior web designer or graphic designer.
• A Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in previous web design projects.
• Practical experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Sketch.
• An understanding of color theory, typography, layout design and usability principles for web design.
• Proficiency in graphic design and understanding of web page elements interaction.
• Exceptional visual communication skills and multimedia design capabilities.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• A thorough understanding of the latest industry trends, design tools, and accessibility standards.
• Working knowledge of HTML is a plus.
