About the position

The Bond Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager & Bar Manager to join our team of hospitality professionals in the vibrant Upper East Side of New York City. This dual role requires a candidate who is not only well-versed in the intricacies of nightlife but also possesses a deep knowledge of wine, champagne, cocktails, and spirits. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing bar operations and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bar and restaurant, ensuring a high standard of service and compliance with health and safety regulations. As the General Manager, you will be tasked with the overall management of the venue, including staff supervision, event execution, and financial oversight. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in various management platforms such as ScheduleFly, Toast, and Microsoft Office Suite. Your responsibilities will also include labor and food cost analysis, purchasing for both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH), and ensuring that all operations align with the company’s standards and local regulations. In your role as Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing bar inventory, purchasing supplies, and creating innovative drink menus. Training staff on preparation and execution of cocktails and maintaining a well-organized bar environment will be key components of your responsibilities. You will also ensure that all staff members are certified in food handling and TIPS, promoting a safe and compliant workplace. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must have NYC Nightlife experience.
  • Proficient in wine, champagne, cocktails, and spirits.
  • Experience with management platforms such as ScheduleFly, Toast, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in purchasing for FOH and BOH.
  • Ability to conduct labor and food cost analysis and reports.
  • Must have Food Handlers and TIPS Certification.
  • Experience in building and executing private events.
