About the position

The Manager, Branch Operations II is responsible for leading the operations of a medium volume distribution center, ensuring alignment with company goals. This role encompasses strategic and operational planning, financial management, performance analysis, and leadership of the distribution center team. The manager will oversee various aspects including inventory management, vendor relations, and compliance with safety regulations, while also providing feedback to the Regional Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategy for capacity planning, including facilities, equipment, and staffing to meet growth goals.
• Provide clear expectations on metrics and goals to all site associates.
• Manage performance of distribution center management and associates, including training and corrective actions.
• Oversee dedicated delivery processes and carrier services, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Utilize financial indicators to measure business performance and manage profits and losses.
• Maintain compliance with safety, Hazmat rules, and human resource policies.
• Manage fleet resources to meet daily customer service delivery requirements.
• Optimize slotting and storage layout for efficiency.
• Ensure safety and security of associates, facility, equipment, and inventory.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age or older.
• BS/BA in a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in a related field, with advanced degree potentially offsetting less experience.
• Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.

Nice-to-haves

• 5-10 years of experience specifically in distribution center facilities.
• Logistics certification.
• Experience in fleet management.
