About the position

The Manager, Brand Finance at Newell Brands will support the Ball/Sunbeam Brand, focusing on the US market. This role involves collaboration with the Brand Marketing team to drive profitable growth through financial analysis and strategic support for new product development and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the New Product Development process by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders, including brand marketing, sales/customer planning, operations, and cost finance.
  • Prepare and evaluate financial viability of new product launches, conducting post-mortem variance analysis.
  • Train cross functional teams on financial file preparation and reporting tools.
  • Provide pricing approval and contribute to pricing strategy for domestic and international teams.
  • Advise on trade spend/contra revenue and advertising and promotional achievements versus specified targets.
  • Monthly preparation of annual and rolling forecasts, and participation in the annual budget and brand strategic plans.
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools to improve profitability analysis at various levels.
  • Partner with operations finance to summarize impacts of standard costs and manufacturing variances.
  • Foster positive relationships within finance team and cross-functional leadership.
  • Identify gaps and lead improvement projects with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a Finance-related field of study (e.g., Accounting, Economics).
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in Finance with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or CPG environment preferred.
  • Experience in commercial finance with strong knowledge of Volume/Price/Mix analysis, Trade Promotions, and Advertising Spend.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset to partner and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
  • Results-driven behavior with a sense of urgency and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to improve processes and apply a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Advanced Excel skills, highly analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to work autonomously.
  • Experience with Hyperion (HFM), SAP, and Power BI.
