About the position

The Manager, Brand Marketing - OmniChannel Retail at NBCUniversal focuses on developing and executing marketing strategies to support the sales of Consumer Products from Universal Pictures and NBC Television programs. This role is pivotal in maximizing retail sell-in and sell-through by creating omni-channel campaigns that drive consumer demand and enhance product visibility across various retail channels. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective marketing execution and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the retail marketing strategies for growth channels including Specialty, Grocery, Club, Value, Home Improvement, Off-Price, and Drug.
  • Develop omni-channel campaigns (digital, social, in-store) that drive consumer demand and ROI/product sales.
  • Oversee the campaign development process including ideation, pitching, and creative execution.
  • Contribute to executive retail meetings, pitch decks, postmortems, and PR support requests.
  • Serve as the primary contact for retailer marketing and media teams regarding NBCU initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Retail Marketing and Sales to define product exclusives and marketing elements for retail accounts.
  • Manage planning and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on campaign amplification and budget planning.
  • Handle the retail marketing budget for growth channel accounts, including generating POs and processing invoices.
  • Educate on merchandise strategies/products to inform marketing campaign direction.
  • Conduct ongoing market trend analysis to influence marketing planning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of retail, marketing, promotions, or packaged goods experience with significant experience creating large-scale programs.
  • Deep knowledge of retail business including marketing tactics and promotional partners.
  • Strong pitching and negotiating skills with the ability to close large deals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and cross-divisional stakeholders.
