About the position

USA Hockey has an exciting opening for the position of Manager, Brand Marketing. This role is pivotal in overseeing the marketing and brand efforts of the organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for building and driving the brand narrative forward by collaborating with various stakeholders within the USA Hockey community, including youth organizations, national team programs, sponsors, and partners. The Manager will develop, analyze, and execute marketing campaigns that support these communities, focusing on increasing brand awareness, setting the tone of voice, and enhancing member engagement. The Manager will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to formulate marketing strategies for key areas such as social media, brand positioning, creative initiatives, and event sales. This position requires a versatile marketer who is comfortable with both day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategic planning. Essential functions include creating and managing an overall content strategy, guiding creative direction for advertising and public-facing communications, and establishing brand positioning while identifying target audiences. Additionally, the Manager will build and execute an integrated marketing calendar to engage the audience, analyze customer insights and market trends, and manage outbound email campaigns. The role also involves collaborating on new revenue-generating sponsorship ideas and managing the approval process for creative submissions from licensees. The Manager will play a crucial role in the ongoing website redesign and content strategy, ensuring that all marketing efforts align with the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the marketing and brand efforts of USA Hockey.
  • Build and drive the brand narrative forward by collaborating with the USA Hockey community.
  • Develop, analyze, and execute marketing campaigns that support community engagement.
  • Lead initiatives to increase brand awareness and member engagement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop marketing strategies for social media and brand positioning.
  • Create and manage an overall content strategy with the communications team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sports, entertainment, or venue marketing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Experience with digital media platforms and paid digital campaigns.
  • Proficiency in website and email measurement, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in developing brand marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Metrics-driven marketing mindset with creativity.
  • Ability to work within departmental and event budgets.
