About the position

The Manager for the Bruin Pantry Network at Salt Lake Community College oversees the operations of pantry sites across five campuses, ensuring the effective distribution of resources to support student success and address food insecurity. This role involves program development, budget oversight, staff supervision, and maintaining partnerships with community organizations. The manager is responsible for the daily operations of the pantry network, logistics coordination, data collection, and reporting, as well as outreach and promotion of pantry services to students.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of pantry sites across five SLCC campuses.
• Develop and implement the pantry program, including planning and day-to-day operations.
• Manage budget oversight and ensure ethical distribution of resources.
• Supervise pantry staff, including 4-5 part-time staff and 29+ student leaders.
• Coordinate logistics for food deliveries and maintain relationships with community partners.
• Maintain accurate data and reports on pantry utilization and visitor demographics.
• Develop strategic outreach to promote pantry services to students.
• Respond to emergency situations and resolve maintenance issues.
• Conduct case management for students experiencing food insecurity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field.
• 1-3 years of direct, full-time experience in program management or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of food insecurity and sustainability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data software.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or related field.
• Professional experience in college student affairs or non-profit sectors.
