GSK R&D's Manager-Business Data Analyst plays a crucial role in managing millions of Project Master Data records. This position is integral to the data ecosystem, where the data is shared with stakeholders through a data fabric and various reports. The primary objective of this role is to analyze, define, and govern the centralized Project Master Data. Success in this role is measured by the degree of data consumption, availability, and quality for downstream processes, as well as the timely availability of legacy data as per agreed timelines. The role requires skilled resources to assist, encode, and review data while also owning various tasks and maintaining the central Master Data Management (MDM) business and system architecture in a steady state. The focus is on stewardship activities, providing transversal oversight of the data across all streams of the program, and ensuring continued maintenance and further rollout as global health authorities adopt new data requirements. This position supports the mastering of Project structured data as close to the source as possible by leveraging data standards and generating quality insights from a mix of structured and unstructured data across both internal and external systems. Key responsibilities include reviewing the demand intake for new project codification, defining orchestration strategies, contributing to the establishment and rollout of the R&D Data and Analytics strategy, analyzing data structures, assisting the MDM team in identifying trusted data sources, enhancing global MDM and RDM systems, enabling MDM tech teams, supporting the development of a data governance framework, and ensuring collaborative work to identify enhancement opportunities. The role also involves defining user stories and maintaining business processes, data flows, and functional lineage for project data to support growth over time.
