About the position

The Manager - Business Data Analyst / MDM at GSK is responsible for managing millions of Project Master Data records, ensuring data quality and availability for various stakeholders. This role involves analyzing, defining, and governing centralized Project Master Data, with a focus on stewardship activities and oversight of data across all program streams. The position aims to enhance data consumption and support the mastering of structured data by leveraging data standards, ultimately contributing to the development and maintenance of the enterprise solutions for R&D data management.

Responsibilities

  • Review the demand intake for codification of new Projects to evaluate their adequacy and fit for R&D, Commercial, regulators, and beyond.
  • Define Orchestration Strategy and codification process by engaging relevant experts and ensuring data validation.
  • Contribute to the establishment and roll-out of the R&D (Master) Data and Analytics strategy.
  • Analyze data in production and analytical systems to understand data structures and their support for existing business processes.
  • Assist MDM team in identifying trusted data sources and enhancing global MDM and RDM systems.
  • Enable MDM Tech teams in building global MDM and RDM solutions and develop strategic system integrations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a data governance framework ensuring data harmonization and quality.
  • Support GSK representation in industry and regulators activities related to Master Data Management.
  • Ensure analysis and monitoring of deviations in the group's remit and identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Define clear user stories, enabler stories, and acceptance criteria for the MDM Project Domain.
  • Maintain business process, data flows, and functional lineage for project data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Economics, Finance, Life Science, Software Engineering, Math, Bioinformatics or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in data management, data governance or related roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • 5+ years experience in Data governance, data management and analytics with software experience (e.g., MDM, SQL).

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrates capability to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues with minimal oversight.
  • Expertise in MDM technologies, data management and governance tools, and methodologies such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, Collibra.
  • Certifications in MDM, data governance, or related areas are advantageous.
  • Experience working in Agile project delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to collaborate with both technical and business colleagues.
  • Biopharm R&D product development domain experience.
  • Business process analysis design and oversight.
