About the position

As a Manager of Business Development at Klook, you will play a pivotal role in acquiring high-potential suppliers and integrating them into the Klook platform. This involves supporting the onboarding of products and coordinating with various teams, including operations, content, editorial, and quality control, to ensure a seamless experience for our partners. Your primary focus will be on cultivating relationships with these partners to maximize their sales potential across Klook's diverse distribution platforms. You will communicate Klook's business strengths, brand value, and differentiation to suppliers, while maintaining dedicated market accounts that emphasize price competitiveness, seasonal promotions, and bundling suggestions. In addition to acquisition and account management, you will be responsible for the continuous optimization of product quality, ensuring that pricing, inventory, and content remain at a market-leading position. This requires close collaboration with various functions within the company, including marketing to maximize sales, supplier operations to enhance efficiency, customer services to drive satisfaction, and finance to ensure accurate payments and minimize risks. Flexibility and attention to detail are essential competencies in our fast-paced environment. You will also support vertical and market leaders by identifying market trends and providing ongoing research and feedback on market and competitor updates. As a leader, you will supervise your assigned team to deliver tangible results in all these areas, ensuring success in achieving product portfolio and sales targets, as well as other strategic KPIs agreed upon with the senior team. Collaboration with diverse teams across different Klook offices will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire high potential suppliers and bring them onto the Klook platform.
  • Support onboarding of products and coordinate with operations, content, editorial, and quality control teams.
  • Cultivate relationships with partners to maximize their sales potential on Klook's distribution platforms.
  • Communicate Klook's business strengths, brand value, and differentiation to suppliers.
  • Maintain dedicated market accounts with price competitiveness, seasonal promotions, and bundling suggestions.
  • Continuously ensure the quality of products in terms of pricing, inventory, and content.
  • Work closely with marketing to maximize sales and with supplier operations to improve efficiency.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through collaboration with customer services and ensure accurate payment with finance.
  • Support vertical/market leaders to identify market trends and provide market and competitor updates through ongoing research and feedback.
  • Supervise assigned team to deliver tangible results in product portfolio and sales targets.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of work experience in business development or sales, preferably in the OTA or travel industry.
  • Fluent in either French or Spanish.
  • High familiarity with travel products, including hotels, attractions, activities, tours, and transportation.
  • Capacity to handle uncertainty and ambiguity in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on strategic importance and impact on business.
  • Strong commercial sense, along with analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • A start-up attitude with a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Happy to work independently when required.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or business management preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the travel industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with online travel agencies (OTAs) and their operations.
