As the Business Development Manager at Core-Mark, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and developing new business opportunities within your designated territory. This position requires you to interface directly with convenience store operators on a daily basis, fostering profitable, value-added business partnerships. Your primary responsibility will be to educate customers about the diverse range of products and programs offered by Core-Mark, ensuring they understand how these can meet their needs and enhance their operations. A successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to influence and engage with customers, linking their priorities to our value proposition while maintaining a keen awareness of the competitive landscape. In this role, you will be expected to travel extensively—approximately 80% of your time will be spent on the road, visiting potential clients across Orlando and surrounding areas. This may include some overnight stays. You will be responsible for increasing profitable revenue opportunities through cold calling and leveraging your existing network to meet potential customers. Building relationships with new clients will be essential, as will collaborating with division and corporate teams to develop tailored proposals that address customer needs and objectives. Your ability to negotiate effectively and present compelling business cases will be crucial in this role. You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for campaigns and distribution channels that can drive sales growth. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor others in business development practices and participate in industry events to expand your professional network.
