In this role, you will build, develop, and maintain the reporting infrastructure, the business intelligence, and the data visualization to deliver campaign reporting insights as well as competitive insights. You will be responsible for retrieving, compiling, cleansing, and transforming data to create the intelligence layer leading to the analysis and optimization of media investments. As a Manager of Business Intelligence & Data Visualization, you will collect data requirements from client teams, including the Marketing Intelligence & Science team, to understand the measurement framework and the most critical metrics to implement for database build and business logic for data stitching. You will manage data provisioning and define the taxonomy for the activation team to implement to ease data retrieval. Your responsibilities will also include managing the retrieval, compilation, and formatting of large volumes of data (ETL), data cleansing, and assisting in the setup of the clients' environment, including cloud infrastructure and data lakes. Additionally, you will assist in the build and development of custom databases on the reporting platform and contribute to the strategy and development of the data visualization layer of the business intelligence platforms (Tableau) for insight generation for use in campaign monitoring and optimization. You will help develop automated QA processes to ensure data accuracy and timeliness, ensuring that the insights generated are reliable and actionable.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data requirements from client teams including the Marketing Intelligence & Science team to understand the measurement framework and critical metrics.
  • Manage data provisioning and define the taxonomy for the activation team to ease data retrieval.
  • Manage the retrieval, compilation, and formatting of large volumes of data (ETL).
  • Manage data cleansing processes.
  • Assist in the setup of the clients' environment including cloud infrastructure and data lakes.
  • Assist in the build and development of custom databases on the reporting platform.
  • Contribute to the strategy and development of the data visualization layer of the business intelligence platforms (Tableau).
  • Help develop automated QA processes to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field OR equivalent professional work experience.
  • 3 - 5 years' of work experience in data management, data visualization, and data analytics preferably in a marketing and/or media agency.
  • Experience in database structure work and in building dashboards with Tableau and/or Power BI, Google Data Studio, Datorama, Domo is required.
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation is a plus.
  • Experience with Alteryx for business logic design required.
  • Ability to operate in Cloud environment (Azure, GCP, AWS, IBM data cloud pack).
  • Experience working with SQL or Python.
  • Experience with digital data from ad serving platforms, campaign planning tools, website analytics software, and paid search engine marketing data sources is strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation.
  • Experience with additional data visualization tools beyond Tableau and Power BI.
