About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at CVS Health is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining an enterprise-level Microsoft Power BI environment. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth operation, security, and optimal performance of Power BI services and solutions, while also leveraging other data visualization tools like Tableau and Python. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights, utilizing various data sources including Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power BI dashboards and visualizations to support business decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the delivery of actionable insights.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various data sources, focusing on Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all BI solutions.
• Develop and maintain deployment pipelines for BI reports and dashboards.
• Perform data modeling, analysis, and optimization to ensure high performance of BI solutions.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for BI solutions, addressing any issues promptly.
• Utilize Tableau, Python, and other data visualization tools for BI tasks as required.
• Stay updated with the latest BI and data visualization technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Power BI Architect or similar role
• Demonstrated expertise in using Power BI to develop complex reports, dashboards, and reports
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, SQL, and experience with ETL processes and data modeling
• Experience leading or managing BI projects, including gathering requirements, designing solutions, and overseeing implementation
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable
• Experience mentoring or training junior developers and providing guidance on best practices.
