About the position

The Manager of Business Intelligence will lead data-driven decision-making for the Salty Snacks business, providing insights on key business drivers and performance trends. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance commercial planning and prepare executive-level presentations, making it a pivotal position in shaping the business direction.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, understand, and share out key drivers of brand, category, and competitor performance, as well as macro trend insights.
  • Manage and regularly update retail sales and market share projections for brands and categories.
  • Own quarterly executive committee reviews of the Salty Snacks business to build confidence in business direction and prioritize future focus areas.
  • Own retail insights to inform the commercial plan for the Salty business, supporting the integrated business management process.
  • Engage with the Commercial team to enhance planning, forecasting, and reconciliation processes using consistent data and insights.
  • Identify opportunities for generating and sharing insights across the business via new reporting such as scorecards, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Maintain regular touchpoints with cross-functional partners, including Category Management, Sales Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Demand Planning.
  • Liaise and support Hershey Organization efforts around data integration, processes, and synergies, including third-party partnerships for database management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' analytical experience in business intelligence, category management, sales, finance, or marketing within a leading CPG company.
  • Extensive experience with retail databases (e.g., IRI) and strong knowledge of syndicated data.
  • Exceptional ability to turn data into insights and communicate needed actions effectively, including at the Executive level.
  • Exceptional Excel skills for analyzing and organizing large data sets and building dashboards/models for visualization.
  • Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and consistent accuracy.
  • Self-starter/learner with the ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to manage relationships with cross-functional teams.
