Blue Cross NC is currently seeking hands-on problem solvers who are eager to play a direct role in optimizing and scaling the rapidly growing Diversified Business Group. As the Manager of Business Operations, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining management systems and practices that optimize the performance of this division and its subsidiary companies. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of high-performing individuals responsible for developing and optimizing the divisional operating model in collaboration with our subsidiaries. You will identify and execute performance improvement initiatives and lead the definition and collection of performance reporting for our subsidiaries. Success in this role will hinge on your ability to identify and execute high-impact performance improvement initiatives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, governing, and refining the operating model between Blue Cross NC and its subsidiary companies to drive effective and efficient joint operations, particularly focusing on products delivered in partnership with these subsidiaries. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to identify root cause challenges and generate solutions aimed at improving the performance of DBG, its subsidiaries, and the products they support. Additionally, you will manage high-profile, high-impact initiatives from the initial business case development through to execution and rollout of new processes, management systems, and technologies designed to drive performance improvement. You will also support budget, resource, and execution planning with DBG subsidiaries to ensure they are well-positioned to achieve ambitious growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences. During the annual planning process, you will help define operational goals for DBG subsidiaries and lead the collection and automation of all KPIs to support performance management across DBG's lines of business. Furthermore, you will lead the planning, development, and implementation of standard operating procedures and enterprise risk management practices, assisting with the communication and education of new SOPs to key stakeholders within DBG and its subsidiaries. Leading a team of high-performing individuals, you will execute numerous initiatives in parallel, providing clear focus and prioritization of competing initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
  • 8+ years of experience in a related field; 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
