About the position

The Manager of Business Operations for Adolescent Medicine and General Pediatrics at Seattle Children's Hospital plays a crucial role in developing and implementing effective business operations systems across assigned areas. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of patient care services aligns with the hospital's goals, vision, and philosophy. In collaboration with physician chiefs, Children's Employed Provider (CEP) leadership, and the Service Line Director, the manager will develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing and growing the practice or regional clinic. The role emphasizes the delivery of effective, efficient, safe, and high-value services across the continuum of care, benchmarking against similar programs to ensure quality, access, and cost management. The manager will also identify and implement strategies to improve clinic-based financial performance and revenue cycle management, focusing on areas such as patient access, demand/capacity management, and provider productivity. This position involves managing assigned staff and collaborating with operational leaders to maximize performance in designated areas. Additionally, the manager will provide consultation and business expertise to leadership and will be responsible for evaluating and managing community, state, and regional contracts as applicable. Staying informed about critical information that could impact scientific, regulatory, and other practice changes is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in healthcare business systems network.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a management/supervisory role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
  • Experience in an academic healthcare setting or related field.
  • Experience in a customer service and/or hospitality field.
