About the position

As a Manager of Business Operations, you will play a critical role in delivering on top priorities and scaling with the growing demand of our stakeholders. The Office of the CTO manages and delivers PayPal's end-to-end Technology roadmap through an operating model and strategy that leverages standardization, process diligence, and operational excellence. The Business Operations team drives predictable, streamlined operations, efficiencies, and elevates employee engagement with sustainable consistency across the organization. In this role, you will significantly impact the entire Technology team by leading and managing the organization's business operations. This position touches almost every part of the team's daily experience and enables each member of the organization to achieve success in their roles. You will directly influence and guide the decisions of the Leadership team while coordinating with other Technology Chief of Staffs. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maturing performance tracking, operating rhythms, and financial stewardship, fostering seamless alignment and innovation across the CTO. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve driving accountability and process improvement with the Technology Hiring Ramp, managing the technology budget management process, coordinating all operating cadences for the Office of the CTO, and collaborating with external partners such as HR, Finance, and Talent Management. You will also help coordinate executive presentations, Technology OKR and KPI reporting, and employee engagement initiatives, while establishing and maintaining cross-functional partnerships throughout Technology and Business teams to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accountability and process improvement with the Technology Hiring Ramp, WFP Principles and Hiring practices
  • Manage the technology budget management process
  • Coordinate all operating cadences for the Office of the CTO
  • Collaborate with external partners such as HR, Finance, and Talent Management
  • Coordinate executive presentations
  • Oversee Technology OKR and KPI reporting
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional partnerships throughout Technology and Business teams to drive results

Requirements

  • At least 7+ years of experience within an operational, planning or project management role
  • Experience with workforce planning and management is preferred
  • Strong financial background is required (budgeting, forecasting, planning)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously
  • Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint and creating high-quality, Executive-level presentations
  • Ability to deliver a high volume of Executive-level presentations in short periods of time
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and confident in putting robust processes in place
  • Ability to identify complex problems and develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
