About the position

The Manager - Business Operations at Freeman is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing activities within a designated geographic region to ensure optimum efficiency, profitability, and service delivery that aligns with Freeman's standards of excellence. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Audio Visual and Event Technology team, and it is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, typically requiring in-office and/or show-site presence 2-3 days per week based out of Las Vegas, NV. The Manager will work closely with clients, sales staff, operations, cross-functional leaders, and project managers to develop comprehensive event plans that include the coordination of pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities, all while adhering to the event budget. In this role, the Manager acts as Freeman's representative in the region, engaging with relevant stakeholders such as facilities, union leadership, vendors, and the Freeman Expo branch. The position requires tracking production activities to ensure that planning milestones and resource allocation goals are met, as well as developing and delivering progress reports as necessary. The Manager will enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and operational integrity across all functions. Additionally, the Manager will oversee hiring, staffing, discipline, and training efforts, while also managing production budget and bid reviews, assisting with final invoice reviews as needed. Regular visits and audits of events in the region are essential to ensure that production, safety, and customer service standards are upheld. The role promotes a positive attitude and teamwork among all personnel and stakeholders, and it involves reviewing and updating facility profiles for assigned locations to ensure accuracy and relevance of operational information. The Manager will also assist with local venue site surveys to facilitate proper event planning and will review operational procedures to recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, service delivery, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of seven years of experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience.
  • Minimum of three years of event industry experience.
  • Proven experience with company policies and procedures, including operating procedures.
  • Proven experience with OSHA requirements.
  • Proven experience with employment law policies and procedures (Title VII, ACA, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Experience with sales and selling practices.
