About the position

The Business Manager position at Acosta Group is focused on increasing market share for the brands represented by developing and maintaining relationships with key conventional retailers and brand managers. This high-visibility role involves presenting client products at retail headquarters and ensuring proper placement in retail establishments. The position requires collaboration with various teams and managing the Business Manager team.

Responsibilities

  • Implement customer headquarter calls and penetrate key positions in retailer departments
  • Maintain an effective partnership with clients to facilitate the development and execution of impactful sales, merchandising, and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain a close and collaborative connection with retail customers
  • Collaborate in the development of account-specific sales, marketing, and merchandising plans utilizing sales data, tracking tools, and forecasting methods
  • Manage retail-customer promotional activities for clients
  • Work with leadership and peers to effectively execute client's new product introductions and trade promotion strategy within funding parameters
  • Regularly visit retail store locations to be knowledgeable about key retailer merchandising initiatives and the competitive landscape
  • Meet and exceed Client goals for sales, distribution, pricing, shelving, and promotional volume
  • Address and resolve financial administrative issues (deductions/pricing discrepancies, etc.)

Requirements

  • Experience calling on Conventional HQ accounts
  • Knowledge of the Distributors in the Market
  • Excellent organization skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with peers and management teams
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills
  • Ability to analyze sales and marketing information for effective sales presentations
  • Proficient in various software packages used to support the sales function
  • Willingness to travel
