About the position

The Manager of Campus and Community Engagement Projects at Stanford's Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is responsible for administering, supporting, and managing various programs aimed at fostering collaboration between the university and the local community. This role involves overseeing events such as Commencement and Stanford STEMfest, analyzing data to inform program decisions, and ensuring effective communication and outreach activities. The position is a fixed-term role for 9 months, requiring a hybrid work arrangement with at least three days on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Independently implement, administer, and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function, or program.
  • Collect and analyze data, create reports, and review trends to formulate recommendations for program goals.
  • Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise, and implement procedures for the program or function.
  • Work across Stanford systems, including GoogleDrive, Smartsheet, Oracle, Qualtrics, and Lenel.
  • Organize and participate in outreach activities, including developing communications and training, and planning events or conferences.
  • Participate in the development of budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide recommendations for budget forecasting.
  • Direct and supervise student staff in various tasks related to student Pavilion activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant subject matter knowledge.
  • Ability to direct the work of others.
