About the position

The Manager of Capital Accounting Debt and Compliance at Stanford University will lead a team within the Capital Accounting Team, focusing on debt management and compliance. This role involves developing complex accounting analyses, ensuring compliance with debt policies, and enhancing internal control systems. The position requires collaboration with key stakeholders and aims to drive process improvements and system developments.

Responsibilities

  • Direct staff and provide leadership to achieve organizational goals and day-to-day operations.
  • Design and execute an effective system of internal controls for areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for functional areas managed.
  • Interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver complex analyses and high-level strategic modeling.
  • Represent the organization's business operations to external constituencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply, interpret, and implement GAAP.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills including conflict resolution.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills to review and analyze complex financial information.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
