About the position

The Manager, Capital Projects Procurement is responsible for leading Supplier Commercial Excellence for a portfolio within Entergy's capital investment initiatives, which total $17.7 billion across various business functions including Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Renewables, and Nuclear. This role involves developing commercial strategies, managing a team of strategic sourcing professionals, and ensuring safety, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction in procurement processes. The position requires collaboration with business leaders to optimize value and service delivery while maintaining ethical standards and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is prioritized within the team and promote strong safety behaviors.
• Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies for supplier engagement.
• Establish and maintain positive stakeholder relationships across functions.
• Create multi-year demand plans with integrated supply chain solutions.
• Mentor and coach team members to develop supply chain talent.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, supply chain management, engineering, finance, or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in materials/warehousing, purchasing, contracts, or project management; 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 7-10 years of contracting experience, particularly with EPC contracts and service agreements.
• Strong business acumen and strategic agility with knowledge of category management and supplier relationship management.
• Understanding of Capital Project Management processes and supply chain best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Supply Chain/Procurement certification preferred.
• Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement in supply chain.
• Knowledge of utility industry, renewable energy, and Nuclear Generation requirements.
