About the position

The Casino Operations Manager is responsible for creating an engaging environment for guests and team members at Hard Rock Casino Rockford. This role involves managing gaming operations, including slot operations and table games, while ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a skilled workforce. The manager will build relationships with players, mentor team members, and oversee daily operations to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Rockford for gaming entertainment.
  • Build and retain guest relations while mentoring team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Ensure enforcement of policies and procedures for daily operational efficiency.
  • Oversee operational activities during shifts and interact positively with managers of other departments.
  • Handle team member and guest concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction while maintaining financial responsibility.
  • Identify and implement procedural changes to improve customer service.
  • Establish and develop relationships with guests focusing on loyalty and profitability.
  • Manage daily labor for opening and closing games as needed.
  • Establish credit lines for guests.
  • Ensure team member satisfaction through consistent feedback and development.
  • Evaluate current business conditions and staff accordingly.
  • Create a safe, professional, and friendly work environment to enhance morale and productivity.
  • Visually inspect casino equipment and follow procedures for repairs or replacements.
  • Inspect and ensure a clean and safe working environment, notifying appropriate departments of deficiencies.
  • Author and distribute casino win/loss reports.
  • Support the Hard Rock culture and team philosophy throughout the property.
  • Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all.
  • Review adequacy of internal security for Slots and Table Games Department.
  • Perform work regularly and adhere to all Illinois Gaming Board Regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in slot operations and table games, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Board requirements.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Prior experience in the gaming industry is required.
  • Knowledgeable of all casino games rules, procedures, and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets strongly preferred.
