About the position

The Manager CBO - Collections Accounts Receivable is responsible for overseeing the collections and accounts receivable processes across various BayCare facilities. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and effective handling of accounts receivables to maximize cash flow, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The manager will also develop policies, conduct team training, and keep leadership informed about trends and issues affecting accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day management of collections and accounts receivable functions for BayCare Hospitals and associated facilities.
  • Ensure timely and effective management of accounts receivables to maximize cash flow.
  • Maintain high levels of quality, technology, and customer satisfaction while maximizing reimbursement.
  • Oversee collections, denials, and credit balances for all business lines.
  • Develop and review policies and procedures, as well as department goals and objectives.
  • Organize data for strategic and operational decision-making purposes.
  • Direct and implement system-wide projects as directed.

Requirements

  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or patient financial services.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certification as AAHAM Certified Patient Account Manager preferred.
