About the position

The Chief of Staff Office at Capital One is seeking a Manager to support the broader Chief of Staff function within the Tech organization, which comprises over 9000 associates. This role involves collaborating with various teams to drive innovation, manage executive-level communications, and ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Tech COS and teams across Tech to deliver on roadmap, owning and directing work across teams to ensure high quality, on time delivery.
  • Drive innovation in process and execution across the Tech COS portfolio.
  • Create executive-ready presentations and materials.
  • Lead special projects autonomously and through partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare the CIO for various internal and external forums including Board of Directors and Enterprise Programs Committee.
  • Own highly visible written communications including the Tech Year End Memo.
  • Create and manage effective, scalable processes to manage operating rhythms.
  • Lead, influence, and drive executional discipline and excellence.
  • Develop relationships across the organization to act as an informed and helpful sounding board and thought partner.
  • Support high priority initiatives across Tech SLT & Tech COS team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Agile Delivery.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • 4+ years of experience managing diverse operational functions including staffing, budgeting, executing high-level meetings and events.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT development or support.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Chief of Staff.
  • 2+ years of experience working closely with executives.
  • 2+ years of experience building strong partnerships with stakeholders across a variety of levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
