About the position

The Manager Client Relations role at SS&C involves developing and maintaining exceptional client relationships while overseeing support and service activities for designated clients. This position ensures quality service and operational performance, acts as a primary point of contact for clients, and collaborates with sales and support groups to enhance client satisfaction and identify opportunities for expanded support business. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to make decisions within established company policies to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains exceptional client relationships.
  • Provides and oversees support and service activities for designated clients, ensuring operational needs are met.
  • Ensures quality service and operational performance within program and delivery standards.
  • Develops understanding of client business to identify service needs and plan service delivery.
  • Acts as a primary point of client contact to coordinate resolution of service incidents.
  • Collaborates with sales and support groups to demonstrate value of support offerings to clients.
  • Leads professionals or first-level leaders on diverse issues and coordinates department activities.
  • Exercises decision-making within established company policies to meet business objectives.
  • Advises staff and partners with cross-functional teams to meet project schedules and develop solutions.
  • Accountable for department results and establishes procedures while recommending policy changes.

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Computer experience with Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of transaction processing and mutual fund industry operations.
  • General knowledge of SS&C AMS systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to persuade others and manage conflict effectively.
  • Strong service orientation and ability to listen to clients' needs.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Adept at coordinating activities and enlisting cooperation from others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the financial services or healthcare industries.
