Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise and serve as a resource through educational programs and quality improvement projects.
  • Ensure high-quality, cost-effective services and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical, financial, and operational roles to address patient safety and quality needs.
  • Manage daily work activities of the department staff, ensuring quality and productivity.
  • Guide staff in staffing decisions, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement training and monitoring initiatives to secure compliance with regulations.
  • Facilitate effective team dynamics and participate in process improvements.
  • Communicate important changes to administration and healthcare providers in a timely manner.
  • Plan and organize day-to-day department operations and activities.
  • Monitor and revise department safety plans and ensure staff maintain required credentials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Five years of experience in healthcare, with at least one year in a managerial role.
  • Three years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory environment.
  • Valid RN License in Texas or Temporary State Licensure within 60 days.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in clinical management preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
  • Ability to use clinical information systems.
