About the position

The Manager, Cloud Security Developer Engineering role at Pfizer involves leading a high-performing team within the Cloud and Network Security Services team, which is part of the Digital Center of Excellence. This position focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions across multiple platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The role requires a hands-on engineering manager with expertise in cloud security tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps practices, aimed at driving innovation and ensuring the security of cloud infrastructure for all business lines globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native security solutions.
• Utilize tools such as Terraform and Ansible to manage and automate security controls within cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and implement cloud security platforms and integrate security tools into the DevOps pipeline.
• Oversee the deployment, configurations, and infrastructure of cloud security controls.
• Ensure the security posture of AWS, Azure, and GCP environments by implementing best practices.
• Participate in the development of the security roadmap and communicate the cybersecurity vision to senior management.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve cloud infrastructure and application development processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members on securing cloud infrastructure.
• Develop KPIs and reporting to manage cloud projects, security initiatives, and risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with three years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with eight years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma.
• 5+ years of experience developing and/or maintaining cloud security controls.
• Proven hands-on technical leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of public and private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Rego, GO, Terraform).
• Knowledge and experience in artificial intelligence security controls.
• Demonstrated experience with IaC tools and DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud infrastructure and application development.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and security standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
