About The Position
The Manager of Commercial Technologies Software Engineering at Cardinal Health plays a pivotal role in managing the enterprise's portfolio of commercial technologies, aimed at maximizing business value and enhancing customer experience. This position is responsible for creating strategies for the technology portfolio and developing innovative solutions in collaboration with business leaders. The role involves developing back-end solutions and capabilities while also improving the front-end experience for users. In this capacity, the Manager will oversee the development of design options and process improvements, ensuring that the solutions align with business needs. The job family is tasked with managing engineering projects and planning for commercial technologies, working closely with product managers to establish clear objectives. The Manager will assess product systems, identify opportunities for enhancements, and apply engineering principles to develop effective solutions. The responsibilities of this role include managing multiple teams, such as Application Development and Infrastructure support, and ensuring the technical configuration, design, administration, development, implementation, and support of application frameworks. The Manager will partner with various IT teams to identify enhancements and will be accountable for developing comprehensive solutions, including applications, technologies, processes, and resource estimates. This role also involves leading IT communications with clients and IT partners, acting as the primary contact for stakeholders, and ensuring that all IT components are completed on time and within budget. The Manager will also be responsible for the successful execution and transition of IT deliverables, collaborating with Product Owners and Development Teams to influence decision-making that impacts work processes and customer outcomes.
