About the position

The Manager of Communications & Community Engagement at HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital plays a crucial role in promoting the hospital's brand and supporting community engagement initiatives. This position is part of the West Florida Division Marketing and Corporate Affairs team and is responsible for executing communication strategies that align with the hospital's growth objectives. The manager will serve as the lead communicator for the hospital, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the hospital's reputation and community presence.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge enterprise brand narrative with market/hospital brand to highlight organizational value.
  • Assist CEO and other officers with communication needs related to colleague engagement.
  • Support development and implementation of the division's strategic PR and Communications plan.
  • Proactively develop content to drive engagement across media channels.
  • Pitch compelling stories to local media outlets.
  • Manage crisis communications and serve as an on-call public information representative.
  • Monitor patient comments and reviews to ensure timely responses and service recovery.
  • Reinforce engagement programs to enhance community reputation.
  • Support strategy for hospital's Board of Trustees regarding engagement.
  • Coordinate events and programs to raise awareness of hospital capabilities.
  • Support colleague community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a related position.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
