About the position

The Manager of Community Health Investment Programs at Mission Hospital is responsible for leading and overseeing initiatives that enhance the health and well-being of residents in South Orange County, particularly focusing on at-risk populations. This role involves managing the Community Benefit Grants Program, conducting health needs assessments, and representing the hospital in community collaboratives and events. The position requires direct supervision of community benefit staff and collaboration with various stakeholders to address healthcare access issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to community health programs and services.
  • Manage the Community Benefit Grants Program.
  • Conduct tri-annual health needs assessments and complete mandated reports.
  • Represent Mission Hospital at Healthy Communities collaboratives, events, and meetings.
  • Supervise identified community benefit staff.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Planning, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in program planning, design, and management.
  • Experience in population health data interpretation and public health concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of management experience.
  • 2 years of experience leading volunteers/community members through a community change process.
